Topic: Improving concrete performance through proper aggregate selection

As high quality aggregates become even more scarce in this area, it is even more important to pay careful attention to blending of aggregates.

Simply specifying a commercially available stone size from ASTM C33, such as a No. 57, No. 67 or No. 8 will not produce the optimum mix. However, properly blending these available stone sizes will. This seminar will present methods and specifications for maximizing stone volume in a concrete mix. The end-result is a mix that is workable and has a low potential for shrinkage.

We have contractors, material suppliers and concrete producers who will share their experiences in blending aggregates for the stated reasons. The theory on how to properly blend aggregates will also be given.

This seminar should be attended by engineers, contractors, concrete suppliers who want to produce more workable mixes and reduce shrinkage cracking.
