    Topic: The New Statue of Liberty and the Role of Hydration Stabilizer Concrete

    Mr. Jarret S. Johnson joined DeSimone in 2004 and currently serves as Associate Principal of the
    firm’s Boston office. He began his career in the firm’s New York office, where he established
    himself as a technical leader and a mentor, while also managing some of the office’s most
    challenging projects.
    Since 2012, Mr. Johnson has served as the lead engineer for the new Statue of Liberty Museum
    from the project’s inception through completion. In this role, he has overseen all aspects of the
    project from the initial planning and site selection through the design and construction.
    Mr. Johnson graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a master’s degree in
    Architectural Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in California, New York, New
    Jersey, and Massachusetts.
    Mr. Douglas Phelps is President of the Phelps Construction Group based in Boonton, NJ. Doug
    has over thirty years of experience in construction industry and has developed PCG into the one of
    the leading construction firms. Phelps Construction Group provides pre-construction, design-build
    and construction management services. Doug has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from
    Syracuse University in 1981. Phelps Construction Group is the Construction Manager for the
    Statue of Liberty Museum.
