    Tarek Alkhrdaji, PhD, PE, is Vice President of Engineering with Structural Technologies.  Dr. Alkhrdaji has extensive experience in structural repair and strengthening of concrete structures; and has been involved in more than 800 structural repair and strengthening projects – several of which received awards from The American Concrete Institute (ACI), the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), and the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). Dr. Alkhrdaji is an active member of ACI Committee 437 (Strength Evaluation) and is a voting member of ACI 562 (Repair Code).  He is the past Chair of ACI 440F (FRP Strengthening) and is currently chairing ICRI committee 330 (Strengthening). 


    Introduction to ACI 562 Repair Code

    ACI 562 “Code Requirements for Assessment, Repair and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures” was developed to provide design professionals involved in the assessment of existing concrete structures a code for the assessment of the damage and deterioration, and the design of appropriate repair and rehabilitation strategies. The code provides minimum requirements for assessment, repair, and rehabilitation of existing structural concrete buildings, members, systems and where applicable, nonbuilding structures.
